Artists live to create. It’s a way of being in the world, a language for expression, a deep dive into what makes us human.
#7 – Creating isn’t a choice for Artists – it’s a necessity.
I didn’t choose to become an artist. It chose me. It kept nudging my psyche and pulling at my soul until I finally gave up and gave in. If I don’t nurture and release my creative ideas and impulses on a regular basis, they either build up to the point of explosion or they wither and fade along with my spirit. It doesn’t matter if it’s a piece of artwork, a collaborative project, or a new riff on an old recipe. Creating something – anything – is a necessity, like breathing. It somehow makes me a better person.
“The more I paint the more I like everything.”
